Ellen C. Brown specializes in real estate transactions, estate and probate, personal injury and family law. She had previously practiced in Groton with Axelrod, Gianacoplos & Johnson and Bartinik, Gianacoplos, Bates, Brown & Grater from the time that she moved to Groton in 1981. Ellen, who is originally from Buffalo, New York, graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio in 1977 and Western New England College School of Law in 1981 where she was a member of the Law Review. She is also admitted in Massachusetts and District of Columbia.
Ellen is a former member of the Groton Board of Education and recently co-chaired and was a treasurer of a referendum committee regarding a successful school construction bid.She is currently a member of the Groton Library Board and is a co-chair and founding member of the fund raising arm of the Groton Public Library, the Groton Public Library Circle of Friends. She lives in Noank with her daughter.
